Manly lock Glenn Stewart might have played his last match for the season, after being hit with a grade five striking charge by the NRL judiciary.

Stewart appeared to strike Roosters captain Braith Anasta in the face with a ****ed elbow during the Sea Eagles 30-14 loss on Sunday at the Sydney Football Stadium, with commentators questioning why he wasn't sent off.

The former NSW and Test back rower is facing four weeks on the sidelines if he takes the early guilty plea or six matches should he fight the charge and lose.

The maximum six week penalty would end Stewart's season, while if he cops a four week ban, the Sea Eagles would have to make the grand final for him to play again.

Roosters forward Daniel Conn copped a grade four charge for a careless high tackle from the same match, however he's facing just a week's suspension if he takes the early guilty plea.

Conn knocked out Manly prop Brent Kite with a nasty looking tackle, but will be free to play in the first week of the finals unless he fights the charge and loses.

Parramatta's Feleti Mateo was charged with a low level striking charge for a punch he threw at Souths' prop Jaiman Lowe on Friday night, however he's free to play this week if he takes the early guilty plea.
