KEEBRA Park clinched the Arrive Alive Cup today with a stunning 18-12 grand final victory over Sydney powerhouse Matraville at ANZ Stadium.
The Gold Coast high school had a firm grip on the elite national final after racing to a 12-0 lead at half-time.
However, Keebra had to work hard for its victory in the second half as the desperate Matraville team launched an impressive comeback that closed the margin to a converted try.
Matraville pounded Keebra?s line in the final two and a half minutes but the Queensland school held firm to erase memories of its 2005 and 2006 national final defeats.
At the post-match presentation, classy Keebra fullback Jordan Kahu was recognised as the competition?s best player.
Kahu received the prestigious Peter Sterling Medal.
