Great come back by the lads. There is definately some stars in that lot.

There was a couple of excellent tries scored to the left, not sure of the players names, but they were fast and exceptional lads.

Apart from a couple of good tackles I didn't see much from Walker this week. I can see why Carty has left him in U/20's for a while longer. In defense he goes missing. I noticed on a couple of occasions he was just a spectator when things were happening close to him, even when it was close to his line. He just didn't seem to see the need for any urgency at times.

Sensational second half display.Jordan Rapana is a champion

I didn't realise the dragons were running second in the U/20's. We made them look like chumps and fully deserved the win.

well played boys

His positional defense is quite good, he can't be a line defender and cover fullback at the same time.

Reply to part a...'His positional defense is quite good'....Yep...but he still can't tackle.

Reply to part b...'he can't be a line defender and cover fullback at the same time'..What would he doing in the line if he is fullback?

No offence to Shannon as I reckin' he will be awsome in time but he just cannot defend. I saw some of the 20's yesterday and (yes, he was in the line...on the line) and he didn't seem to interested in tackling the bloke that ended up scoring..

...in saying that he almost set up the try of the season with his run up the park and to be there to get the ball back just to throw a wayward pass that would have bought the crowd alive had we scored...(all 150 of 'em)

Well, where does he go missing? He's behind the line where he's supposed to be, he comes in to defend on the try line sometimes, and that often doesn't work, but his job there is to cover the in goal as well, so he's almost as a rule 3rd man in on any of those tackles and by then the damage is already done.

I don't know what you're trying to say, he tackles as well as most small fullbacks, as well as Preston at least, and is able to run down and tackle players who would score were it another player. If he were to do the defense of a back rower he would be terrible, but he does what's required of a fullback.

He made a cracking tackle on a dragon running full steam near the try line last night

no bull**** ref calls

Well, at least the ones there were favoured the home team, as it ****ing well should be I might add. I was personally witness to our 1st grade team screwed at home and away in the space of 5 days, isn't there at least supposed to be some checks and balances to this whole incurable officiating ineptitude pandemic?

I'm not talking about covering fullback. I'm talking about standing around spectating when an attacking player is a little over six feet away and heading for the line.
Can't be more specific, rather than say in the course of watching the game I noticed on a few occasions he could have been more involved in tackling at times, and didn't.

Yes, he will likely be a champion one day, but it's the little things that loose games.
