THE Gold Coast must finish the year "with a bang" to repay the Titans' faithful and give the club momentum heading into the NRL finals.
That's the view of dual international and Titans five-eighth Mat Rogers, who said the Gold Coast let down its passionate supporters last year when the team lost eight of its last 10 matches to miss out on the playoffs.
The Titans have the bye this weekend so will retain an equal share of the competition lead after 14 rounds.
The Gold Coast will resume its campaign against the Rabbitohs in Sydney next Monday night ? the first of 12 games in the run to the semi-finals.
Six of the Gold Coast's past nine outings are away from the Skilled Park fortress.
It is a draw that will test the mettle of John Cartwright's men.
The Gold Coast has won only three of 15 games on the road in its short history but Rogers said it was time to show it was the real deal.
"We've set ourselves up well now and we don't want all that good work to come undone because we finish the season poorly," Rogers said.
"We didn't win many games on the way in last year and it would be a great thing for the club and all our supporters if we can hit the semi-finals with a bit of momentum.
"We haven't spoken too much about our away record. We just have to win games of footy no matter where we are.
"It's a matter of getting the job done."
