The new series of NRL cards are out now. I thought I would start a thread about them, especially considering that we can trade at matches!

At the moment they have a special deal that for $20.00 you get a special collector binder, 20 plastic sleeves, a pen and two packs of NRL collector cards.

They are traditional trading cards. Cardboard with a plastic like coating.

They cost $2.95 per pack and you get 7 cards. It's affordable so you can buy a couple every so often.

If you want to collect, we can trade cards at game.

I bought Dylan (& me) 3 packs today with 3 Titans players Petersen,Odwyer & Rogers in standard cards also a Mat Bowen GEM card :surprise:

Your best bet is probably ebay Timmy, that is where I got my Broncos folder. The club folders are the same price as the standard ones. (judging by the one I brought)

There are 12 players depicted from each team in both the regular set and the holographic set which you get 1 card per pack.

It baffles me why they don't offer 13 cards from each team at the least. It also bothers me that there is a lot of wasted space on the back of the card. They need a lot more info on the bios, including height, weight, former clubs etc and another picture on the back.

But I'm not complaining, I'm collecting!

i bought 6 packs on different days and 5 packs had a special cards in it.

i went to a different newsagent got no special card, so the next day i went back to my local newsagent bought 2 packs and got 2 special cards. :).

I bought a carton of them today, for the kids birthday. ;) They love them. And it helps that Brianna got the limited edition personally hand signed Scott Prince Authentic Signature Edition card in the 2007 series. :thumbsup:

It's just a checklist of all the holograpghic cards, just a list of the card numbers and the players name.

Not a personally signed card, just a gold printed signature on it.

Hi all. Just started collecting these cards myself about a week ago. This is the only forum I could find talking about them. Ive bought the album and about 27-28 packs of cards in about 1 1/2 weeks.

Got the Luke Bailey and Roy Asotasi Gem cards

5 signatures - Cory paterson, Phil Graham, Jarryd Hayne, Darren Locker, Reni Maitua

2 Sketch cards Adam Cuthbertson and Chris Lawerence.

27 Holofoil cards

Only need 3 more Easts cards, 2 Warriors cards, 3 Dragons Cards, 2 Eels Cards, 1 tigers cards, 3 cowboys cards, 4 Knights cards, 2 Rabbitohs cards, 3 Strom Cards, 3 panthers cards, 2 Bulldogs Cards and 5 Ttians cards for full team sets.

There is no way 1 folder will hold the lot. I find the front of the cards are nice but lack info on the back. still worth collecting.

Plus i have about 50-60 cards that over lap.

Trade, sell or buy - I'm easy....

Most of the gaps in my folder are Holofoils between 43 - 145.
I still need:
25 out of the 48 signature cards
21 out of the 32 sketch cards
10 out of th 16 gem cards.

My house mate has alot of doubles\triples of gems, sigs and sketches - so if anyone is after a particular card let me know and I'll see if he has it.
