Raiders deny Thompson move- Ninemsn.com.au
The Canberra Raiders have denied they are considering approaching former St George Illawarra back rower Lance Thompson.
The Raiders have reportedly shown interest in Thompson after his contract with the Dragons was terminated by mutual consent last week.
But Raiders coach Matthew Elliott says he has not spoken with the back rower.
Both the Wests Tigers and Cronulla had shown interest in Thompson, who wants to sign with another NRL club for the 2006 season rather than attempting to further his career in England, but the clubs have revealed they are no longer considering the 27-year-old.
