A triple boost to Titan teens' belief

THE teenage Titans are packing the firepower to get their Under-20 Toyota Cup rugby league season back on track against the Eels in Parramatta tonight, with three key playmakers returning from injury.

Match-winning fullback Shannon Walker (hip), hooker Kayne Lawton (hand) and halfback Sam Stewart (concussion) will reunite for the first time since round one after passing fitness tests this week.

The Titans have lost all three matches since that season-opening 46-10 pumping of the Cowboys.

But with the three attacking weapons returning this week, Toyota Cup coach Steve Murphy is confident the team will regain its self-belief, not to mention strike power.

"This week is an opportunity for us to get our game on," said Murphy. "Those guys create belief in the football team.

"From our attitude at training this week I am sure we will put in a good performance."

The Titans are 12th on the ladder, with just one win from four games. The Eels, who are the only side still undefeated, lead the competition with three wins and a draw.

"Obviously we have lost two games on the bell (Sharks and Raiders). If we had won those games we would be on top of the table with them," said Murphy.

In a blow for the Titans, five-eighth Cody Nelson has pulled up short with a hip flexor strain.

Tweed Seagulls' Queensland Cup halfback Matt Nuttall will line up in the No.6 jumper after making his Toyota Cup debut at halfback last week.

Big prop Siosaia Vave also returns from an ankle injury for the first time since round one, taking his place on the bench.
