THE Queensland Rugby League Board of Directors have confirmed the make-up of the XXXX Queensland State of Origin Team Management for the 2006 Series.

The following persons have accepted the League?s invitations to be part of the new look Team:-

Coach - Mal Meninga (pictured)

Skills Coach - Neil Henry

Managers - Steve Walters
Bob Lindner
Ben Ikin (Media)
Fitness Co-ordinator - Billy Johnstone

Trainers - Kevin Walters
Tony Spencer
Steve Hooper

Doctor - Roy Saunders

Physio - Scott Thornton


The Managing Director, Ross Livermore, said that Mal Meninga and Wayne Bennett were consulted over a period of time and their views are reflected in these appointments.


?It is interesting to note that there are five former Origin Players involved in the Management Team?, Livermore said.

?Add to this two members of the Selection Panel and we have a very strong Origin involvement which will be of great benefit to the Coach? he said.


The Origin and Australian Selection Panels were also finalised. These are:-

Des Morris (Chairman)
Gene Miles
Alan Smith
Mal Meninga

Prince, Lockyer, Thurston, Smith, Inglis, Bowen...

I can't wait until Origin 2007 when the Titans have their first Origin players.

Ben Ikin as media manager?

Why don't they use professionals instead of ex-players?

Look at the **** up during the Bulldogs dramas with Brad Clyde looking after the media.
