    n Round Eight of the Queensland Cup Ioane Seuili played left centre for the third match in a row for Tweed Heads against the Ipswich Jets and as usual played the entire 80 minutes. In that time he ran for 78 metres (35 post contact), made a line break, played the ball at an average of 3.42 seconds and made three tackles at a 75% tackling efficiency.

In that time he ran for 84 metres (25 post contact), broke two tackles, had a line break assist, played the ball at an average of 3.05 seconds and made three tackles.

    Different types of players mate, Tom Dearden will take the line on more. Tom Dearden has outstanding potential and time will tell, but for me their careers will be a mirror of each other in terms of achievements.

    There are some talented players named in the GC Vikings U20 side including Daniel Shannon, Stanley Ferani, Oshea Hannaway, George Santos-Motuapoaku and Jock Sullivan amongst others

    Another player new to the Gold Coast is former Hamilton Boys High student Demante Murray who last year kicked the winning penalty goal in the NZ Super 8 schools final to defeat Napier Boys High 23-22.

    He started in the centres for the Burleigh U18 Division Two side in Round One last weekend.

    Former Gold Coast District rugby player Tahu Bluegum has moved over to rugby league and started Round One of the GCRL U16 Division One competition from the bench for Ormeau as they defeated Currumbin 26-6.

    In 2018 Tahu Bluegum played fourteen matches for the Helensvale Hogs in the GCRU U15 competition, starting thirteen of those matches, splitting time between No. 6 and No. 8.

    He started the Grand Final at No.6 but Helensvale went down 47-19 to the Griffith University Hogs.

    Former Titans junior development squad member Oliver Singh continues to find his feet in the NRRRL First Grade competition, in Round Four kicking four from four as his Tweed Coast Raiders side defeated Mullumbimby 24-14 in Round Four on the weekend.

    TSS outside back Jack Poidevin started in the centres for Mudgeeraba in Round One of the U16 Division One competition in their 38-16 loss to Runaway Bay.

    In 2018 Jack Poidevin played for the TSS U15B side and also played club rugby on the Gold Coast for the Surfers Dolphins.

    Lismore Marist Brothers Luke Davis has had an outstanding start to the 2019 U18 NRRRL competition and currently has a 200% strike rate through the opening four rounds of the competition.

    In Round Four last weekend against Evans Head he scored four tries in a big 58 – 0 win.

    Earlier in the season Luke Davis scored a double in Round Two against Tweed Coast and also scored a Round Three double against Casino RSM.
