One of the best imports to the GCRL U19 competition this season has been outstanding former North Sydney Bears SG Ball (U18) player Tyrese Walker.

The young man who is still MM Cup eligible in 2019 currently leads the U19 try scoring tally with 14 after scoring once again last weekend in Round 16 for Burleigh as they went down 36-18 to Bilambil.

Tyrese Walker has split his time between starting at five eight and in the centres this season (he started at five eight last weekend) after playing at halfback for the North Sydney Bears earlier this season and in the U16 Harold Matthews competition in 2017.

Talented Auckland New Zealand born youngster Larryon Tevita has been superb this season for Burleigh across the local competition and the MM Cup and U20 Hastings Deering’s Cup competitions.

With Burleigh having a bye in the Colts competition last weekend, Larryon Tevita made his Doug Lipp Cup debut in Round 16 coming off the bench as the Bears went down 26-16 to Bilambil.

Larryon Tevita had started in the front row in the U19 match preceding the Doug Lipp Cup match.

Larryon Tevita has been named to start in the front row for the Burleigh Colts side for this weekend’s Round 23 Colts match against ladder leaders, the Townsville Blackhawks.

Titans contracted Era Ubaldino started in the second row and was a deserved try scorer tonight for Burleigh as they defeated Helensvale 24-18 in their GCRL U16 Division One semi-final victory.

Ezra Ubaldino is U15 eligible but played the entire season in the U16 Division One competition.

He is an exceptional talent who has the makings of a Keegan Hipgrave type of player in terms of his intensity and desire every time that he runs onto the field.

When he makes the NRL with the Titans the PBC student will be an absolute crowd favourite.
