    Titans linked Kel Sheather scored his 4th NRRRL First Grade try of the season in Round 17 for Ballina as they held out Lismore Marist Brothers to prevail 24-12 in last Sunday’s Round 17 match.

    Titans contracted Ethan Foster was outstanding yet again last weekend for Clarence Coast in Round 13 of the Group One U16.5 competition scored a try and kicked a conversion as Clarence Coast defeated Lismore Marist Brothers 14-12.

    Through ten games this season in the Group One U16.5 competition Ethan Foster has scored twelve tries, kicked 30 goals and a field goal for an individual points haul of 109.

    Ethan Foster has also played a number of matches with Lower Clarence in the U18 NRRRL competition and earlier in the year was outstanding for the Northern Rivers U16 Andrew Johns Cup side dominating a couple of matches on his own.

    Ipswich youngster Orlando Swain has recently linked with the Titans after a standout campaign with the Queensland Maroon side at the U15 ASSRL Championships. A team mate in the Queensland Maroons side was fellow Titans contracted youngster Bailey Martin.

    As a result of his outstanding performances on the wing for the U15 Queensland Maroon side Orlando Swain was selected in the Australian U15 Merit side.

    Orlando Swain started all four of Queensland Maroon’s matches on the wing and scored two tries, the first coming on Day One against New South Wales Combined High Schools and his second try was in the 4th minute of the final against New South Wales Combined Catholic Colleges, a final which Queensland Maroon won 36 – 10.

    The Ipswich Grammar School student is currently playing for Norths Blue in the 2018 Ipswich U15 competition and through eight matches has scored 52 points from eleven tries and four goals.

    Orlando Swain scored a recent hat trick against Fassifern and has also scored doubles against Norths Gold, Rosewood and Redbank. Orlando Swain’s other two tries have come against West End and Brothers.

    Orlando Swain has an extensive representative resume including representing the Ipswich Diggers at the U14 level in 2017 and earlier this year represented Met West U15’s prior to his selection in the Queensland U15 Maroons side.

    In Round 13 of the Group One U13 competition the Ballina Seagulls had a couple of good performances in their 50-12 win over Kyogle with both Sam Currie and Lachlan Offley scoring hat tricks.

    Kyogle Turkey’s U15 Group One forward Jack Kuhnell scored his 12th try from just 11 matches in Round 13 last weekend but unfortunately for the young backrower his side went down 16-10 to Ballina.

    In Round 13 of the Group One U13 competition two of the Divisions top players faced off being Grafton’s Grayson Reimer and South Grafton’s Isaac Barker.

    On this occasion Grayson Reimer’s Grafton Ghosts prevailed 36-14 with Grayson Reimer scoring a double (39 tries from 11 matches) and Isaac Barker also scoring (31 tries from 11 matches).

    Talented young half Tom Farragher was at his scheming best last weekend in Round 13 of the Group One U16.5 competition on his way to scoring a hat trick for Kyogle as they defeated Ballina 18-12.

    The hat trick took his try scoring tally to nine for the season.

    Titans contracted Rowan Mansfield played his third Group One U16.5 match of the season in Round 13 last weekend for Ballina Seagulls, unfortunately his side lost 18-12 against Kyogle.

    In addition 18 year old 2018 Burleigh MM Cup player Zane Harris will start on the bench for Southport and Jack Peacock will start from the bench for Tweed Heads.

    Great start to the Gold Coast Rugby league junior rugby league finals tonight with outstanding young half Syris Schmidt scoring for Ormeau as they defeated Runaway Bay 28-12 in the U15 Division One Qualifying final.

    Syris Schmidt will have to back up tomorrow for the TSS U15A side against Brisbane Grammar School.

    In the U16 Division One Elimination Final tonight Titans contracted Brody Smitka started at lock and Titans linked Matthew Wilton Waldron started in the second row as their Helensvale side defeated Titans contracted Samuel Shannon's Southport side 44-4.

    Outstanding Helensvale half Brodyn Gudgeon scored a hat trick tonight.

    In the U16 Division One qualifying final tonight outstanding Titans contracted Currumbin 5/8 Ediq Ambrosyev scored a double as the Eagles defeated Burleigh 30-14.

    For Burleigh Titan half Ryan Rivett kicked a conversion.

    Burleigh have opened nominations for the 2019 Mal Meninga program.
    Open trials are set for the 22nd of September
    I assume Tweed will have a similar timeline.

    Young lock Tikai Pennings had a huge game for Helensvale in the U14 Division Three First semi-final this morning scoring four tries and kicking four goals as the Hornets defeated Parkwood 28-24.
