    Burleigh Colts player Cameron Brown was back in the U19 competition last weekend with the Colts competition having a bye round and crossed for his 7th try from 8 matches for Helensvale as they went down 28-16 to Bilambil.

    Cameron Brown is back in the Burleigh Colts side this weekend’s round of the Hastings Deering’s Colts competition.

    PBC and Runaway Bay youngster Kaleb White is making waves both in schoolboy and club rugby league this season.

    In Round 9 of the U15 Division One competition he scored a hat trick and kicked a conversion as Runaway Bay overcame Ormeau 34-16 last Friday night.

    Rhian Stowers must be buggered come Sunday nights. In addition to playing for Bond University Colts, Rhian Stowers continues to play for Ormeau in the U19 competition.

    In Round 13 on the weekend he started in the centres for the Shearers as they went down 50-22 to Runaway Bay on the Sunday and on Saturday had played for the Bond University Colts II side on the left wing kicking four conversions.

    In addition to playing for Ormeau in the GCRL First Grade competition Laz Sua also played a full match in the earlier U19 match which saw Ormeau go down 50-22 to Runaway Bay.

    Laz Sua is back in the Tweed Heads Colts side being named on the bench for their upcoming match.

    Young hooker/half Matt Cannings scored his second U19 GCRL try on the weekend after starting at half for Runaway Bay as they defeated Ormeau 50-22.

    He started the season in the U17 Division One competition but has made the step up to the U19 competition without missing a beat in recent weeks.

    Titans linked Flynn Daniel is fast becoming one of the players who must surely be considered amongst the most improved in Gold Coast Junior Rugby and in Round 9 of the U15 Division One competition last weekend scored a hat trick for Burleigh as they powered past Southport 50-0.

    The South Coast U15 representative second rower from PBC has now scored an impressive 8 tries from just five games.

    Titans contracted Brody Smitka played his 9th match in the GCRL U16 Division One competition in Round 9 on the weekend when he started at lock for Helensvale as they defeated Burleigh 28-16.

    A lot of younger players struggle to play an age group up but Brody Smitka has handled playing the entire season against players a year older in his stride.

    Titans youngster Ryan Rivett kicked two from three last weekend in Round 9 of the U16 Division One competition after starting at five eight for Burleigh as they went down 28-16 to Currumbin.

    Powerful Southport and Titans linked front rower Daniel Shannon scored his second U19 try of the season in Round 13 as his side kept Mudgeeraba scoreless in a 30-0 win.

    Giant Sawtell Panthers front rower Lewis Cooper continued is Group Two U18 dominance last weekend in Round 15 when he scored a double against Belligen in a Sawtell 50-14 win.

    It was his third double in a row and he now has scored nine tries from just seven U18 matches.

    In addition in his one and only reserve grade match this year he scored a double and in seven Group Two First Grade matches has scored four tries.

    Burleigh MM player Ronan Kapi has been named at outside centre for the TSS First XV side for the GPS School Boy Round Two match against Brisbane State High School tomorrow.

    Fellow Burleigh MM Cup player Reno Gerrard will miss the match through injury.

    In the TSS U15A side Kaleb Ngamanu also misses out as a result of injury.

    A fortnight after starring in the U14 State Championships, outstanding prospect Jye Gray started at five eight in the U15 Division One competition for Runaway Bay as they overcame Ormeau 34-16, with Jye Gray contributing a try to the win.

    He now has a 100% strike rate in four games in the U15 Division One competition and has scored three tries in the U14 Division One competition.

    He has handled playing against players a year older than himself with aplomb this season.
