18 year old half Cameron Brown has spent time both playing for Burleigh Colts and Helensvale U19's this season.

On the weekend in Round Six of the GCRL, Cameron Brown was back playing for the Hornets U19's and maintained his 100% strike rate through three games scoring in Helensvale's 40-38 win over Currumbin.

Titans youngster Jed Bignell started at five eight for his U15 Norths Gold in their Ipswich rugby league Round Six match on Friday night. Good to see is Norths Gold side defeat Brothers 32-28.

Titans Development contract holder Tony Matautia started in the centres for Tweed Heads in the Gold Coast Rugby League First Grade Round Six victory on the weekend 52-12 over Ormeau scoring two tries in the match.

Young Robina U14 Div Two fullback Angus Campbell scored his third hat trick in a row in Round Three over the weekend in their loss 34-32 to Jimboomba, amazing stuff

To be fair I think they are starting to move in the right direction. I got the impression that they have a bigger budget next year. Jamie mentioned that they were in a position to sign a complete under 16 and under 18 team for next year, which is what the boys in the training squad were building towards.

In the U16 Division One competition centre Tate Roberts continued his outstanding start to the season crossing for a double for Currumbin as they defeated Runaway Bay 44-12

Titans contracted Noah Gafa made it three tries from three matches starting in the second row and scoring as his Currumbin U17 Div One side defeated Ormeau 42-4 over the weekend

There is nothing better than seeing a young man debut in First Grade regardless of the competition and that was the case for Liam Hori-Clark over the weekend in Round Six of the GCRL First Grade competition.

Liam Hori-Clark who has performed so well at the U19 level started on the wing for Ormeau who unfortunately lost 62 – 12 to the Tweed Heads Seagulls.

Young outside back Braden Amundsen was named last week on an extended bench for the Burleigh Colts side but ended up back in the local U19 competition starting for Helensvale on the wing and scoring double as the Hornets defeated Currumbin 40-38.
